We’re excited to announce the release notes of Icepim 2.4.3.2, with improvements designed to simplify and enhance your product data management experience. This update focuses on several key areas:
New features and improvements
- Added use of “Update Product UPC/EAN” setting during Icecat partial import or Icecat manual enrich via button.
Now Partial Icecat enrich/manual enrich imports will use the setting in Icecat XML import to enrich your product data with Icecat UPC/EAN codes, or solely rely on codes from Iceimport or manual entry.
- Added use of “Match by EAN” setting during Icecat partial import or Manual enrich via the button.
This setting will apply to all Icecat enrichment processes.
- Moved translations from the database to files for Icepim languages.
We’ve enhanced our translation-saving process in Icepim. Moving forward, adding additional administrator languages such as German, Spanish, French, etc., will be seamless.
- Added reminder when Attribute is not translated in product edit.
Many of our users often forget to provide translations for all the languages used in Icepim when creating custom attributes. This oversight leads to exported attributes having empty values for certain languages. By issuing this reminder, we aim to reduce errors of this nature.
- Improved checkbox interface for all locks when Lock All Content is selected.
- Improved Iceimport price changes report interface.
With the addition of the ‘New Price Import Date’ column, we can now track the time and date when suppliers make price changes to their feed.
- Added skipping #Delete brand conversions during Brands conversion Icecat import.
- Disabled autofill for password fields in Admin settings.
Improved Category Management for Shopify Integration
- Added linking categories to Channels during Icecat category import.
As we’ve renamed ‘Shops’ to ‘Channels’ in Icepim, during Icecat category import, every category will now be automatically assigned to the default channel. This adjustment is necessary for seamless operation with the Shopify connector. The Category edit section now lets you easily reassign categories to different channels (using multi-select).
- Firstly, we added a warning for saving attributes without translations.
- Secondly, we added clarification text for “delete unmatched conversions” in Iceimport settings.
- And lastly, we added Icecat attribute IDs in Product types for each attribute.
From now on, External IDs (Icecat feature IDs) are accessible in Icepim for each attribute.
- Added External (Icecat) ids for attributes and product types for XML Standard export.
The mentioned field can also be exported.
Unified Warehouse Management for All Products
- Added warehouse selector functionality for “Apply rules” and during import, independent of the import ID.
Previously, the warehouse selector only functioned for products imported from Iceimport. Now, the warehouse selector will consider all products, regardless of their creation method: Iceimport, custom import, or manual creation in product edit.
- Added sub-sub locks of product description lock to Bulk lock in the product overview page.
- Added “Use Icecat categories” setting to Icecat imports (Full, Daily, Partial, Manual)
Whether to utilize Icecat categories is a choice for our customers. With advanced selection options such as using categories from the import file, replacing existing categories with Icecat categories, keeping existing categories and adding Icecat categories, or adding Icecat categories only to products without categories, we offer a wide range of choices to meet our customers’ diverse business needs.
- Icecat manual enrichment now allows you to delete images. You can remove images associated with a product if they are completely deactivated within Icecat.
If an image is fully deactivated in Icecat and a customer manually enriches the product in the product edit, with the new image status update, this image will be deleted from Icepim. This setting is already operational for other Icecat imports.
- Added Unused and All Brands export types.
- Added “Manually enriched” to edit and product overview filters.
Customers can manually check the ‘Manually enriched’ checkbox in the product edit. For added convenience, we’ve included a corresponding filter in the product overview. If a product is designated as manually enriched and a customer applies the ‘Content filter’ in post filters, these products will also be included.
Enhanced Product Management with Persistent Filters
- Added do not reset filters after moving products to different category/adding products to different category/change product status in the product overview.
The product overview now remembers your filter selections! When you use the filter search and move products on this page, your filters will stay active instead of resetting to default.
- Added image type tags to XML Standard export.
- Added Bulk lock overwrite functionality.
When applying locks from the product overview, you have the option to specify the behavior of the lock: either to add locks to existing ones for the products or to overwrite the existing locks with the new selections. The default behavior remains unchanged: adding locks to existing ones.
Please note that all Icepim customers will be updated to the newest 2.4.3.2 version by the end of April 2024. If you need more detailed information on the new release improvements, features, and fixes, please refer to the Release logs in your Icepim or check the previously released notes.
